2018 Kupe Pinot Noir
95/100
This complex pinot noir lives up to its flagship status and is clearly the best of Escarpment's range of 2018s. Moderately intense wine with impressively layered flavours that include floral, dried herb, cedar, mixed spice and and baked-earth characters

2018 Kiwa Pinot Noir
93/100
Single vineyard pinot noir with plum, cherry, dried herb, five spice and nutty oak flavours. Still youthful with plenty of potential, although it can be appreciated now. Quite a rich and warming wine.

2018 Te Rehua Pinot Noir
92/100
Tasted alongside Escarpments other single vineyard wines evidences a distinct house style or perhaps house/vintage style with pronounced savoury and dried herb characters together with floral and spice notes. A smooth, textural wine with a drying finish.
2018 Escarpment Chardonnay
92/100
Rich, creamy, mouth-filling chardonnay with peach, citrus, green apple, butterscotch, toasted nut and spicy oak flavours. A generously-proportioned wine, with a backbone of juicy acidity. Accessible now but with some ageing potential

2018 Escarpment Pinot Noir
91/100
A step up in concentration from the entry level Noir but with similar tobacco, cherry, toast, dried herb, floral and spice flavours. Subtle fruit sweetness is balanced by suede-like tannins.
2018 NOIR Pinot Noir
87/100
Delicately-scented pinot noir with floral, violet, cherry and savoury, dried herb flavours. A supple, medium-bodied wine in a drink-me-now style
